SOIL BLENDS

High quality soils are necessary for plant establishment and continued plant health and vigor. Our soil products are derived from blends of compost, wood fines and quality soils which have been screened and processed to reduce viable weed seeds. These soil blends are ideal for use in a variety of applications, including raised planter beds, vegetable beds and fine grading. In addition to the following standard blends, we offer custom designed soil blending to fit your specific application.

Eco-Earth
This is a fine blend of approximately 60% screened soil and 40% compost. It is excellent for seed or sod bed preparation, raised planters and vegetable beds, as well as most landscape applications. Eco-Earth is rich in nutrients and beneficial micro-organisms for long term soil health.

New Earth
This blend of approximately 60% screened soil, 20% compost, and 20% ground wood fines is applicable where good soil aeration and drainage are desired, as well as superior soil texture.

Wood-n-Earth
A blend of approximately 60% screened soil and 40% ground wood fines. This blend provides good aeration and drainage, but is lower in nutrients and micro-organisms than products with compost. Additional nitrogen may need to be added to avoid chlorosis in some plants.

Primary Soil
This is our soil prior to being blended and screened to produce the above products. Although some organic matter is blended in while stockpiling, it is not screened and may contain some rocks and foreign matter. It is a suitable product for low budget landscape projects.
